2011 brings bold color along with multi-tone highlights. Nothing is off limits so this is the year to get creative!
Colors you can expect to see this year include every shade of red, purples and yes, even shades of blue and green. If you prefer a more natural color, opt for shades of bright blonde or multi-tone shades of brunette.
Protect your hair color by using hair care products for color treated hair. If you use hairstyling tools look for hair tools that feature ceramic as this helps to prevent color from fading. These include hair dryers with ceramic heat and ceramic hair straighteners.

Totally agree that you need to use products that are specifically recommended for color-treated hair. Stay away from Clarifying Shampoos! And to make your color last even longer, use a good color-depositing shampoo and conditioner. Artec by Loreal used to have a fabulous line, bur for some reason they discontinued it. http://www.haircareusa.com lists some great alternatives, including Tressa Watercolors, All-Nutrient Color+Shampoo, and Altobella Claypac. Using any of these will keep your hair color vibrant much longer between Salon visits.
